Who remembers BookIt!?
I quit dance, my parents wouldn't let me try gymnastics, and my singing teacher rejoiced when I could finally sing ONE octave. But given the opportunity, I gobble up books; I'm a fast reader and book marathons are my crack. :) It has been harder to keep up with all the books I want to read as my spare time gets crunched between school, extra-curricks, friends and family.... but I keep a fairly dedicated list of literary crap. At some point, I plan to restart my reading log, but until then this page will stand in honor my very first obsession. Here is my owned books list. My favorite reading spot is my big bed with lots of cozy blankets. I have a pile of "to read" books readily avaliable, and I get nervous when I think the pile is too small. I find it inconsiderate when there are no reading materials next to the toilet. Recommendations are how I pick out most of my reading so please send me the title of your favorites!
These are my favorite genres of reading materials, in probable descending order, and yeah I made up some of the names: young adult, fantasty-ish, classics, contemporary fiction, historical-but-not-boring, philosophy/culture/whatever, real romance stories, science fic, thrillers, graphic novels, good fanfiction, select essays, how-to's and DIYs, reference books and trashy mags (for said toilet-reading).
