So you want to know more about Pfenix's webmistress? (First of all, doesn't "webmistress" sound like Pfenix owns me like a pimp?)

I'm Cara. Just Cara; I've tried many a time to attach myself a longer, prettier nickname or alias, but it always comes back to Cara. And Cara isn't even my first name! I'm fifteen years old and all that being fifteen implies. Despite my best efforts, I am growing up and I'm dealing with all that growing up implies too. So excuse me if I don't act my age, for younger or older.

I haven't had much conflict in my life. Let me see... I'm Filipino-American but I haven't been victimized because of it, unless convincing the Confused there ARE other countries in Asia besides China counts. Uh, I've been teased for being short? No, no. Hormones are not quite the adventure I expected from life, after spending my preteenage years reading young adult novels. There are no sudden manifestations of magical powers, no world that needs saving, no perfect circles of friendship, and no handsome knights with laser guns; to say the least, I'm a little put out. Perhaps I read the wrong books?

I'm just an American schoolgirl. I imagine it's rather like being a Japanese schoolgirl, except where I am from we don't wear cute uniforms and I certainly don't look this happy when I go to school:

I do like school. Only one subject bothers me, like a rock in my shoe, and it's math (and by association, chemistry). Otherwise, I really like my subjects; especially history, seconded by sciences. I take Spanish. I'm working at becoming fluent, so you may see some random Spanish thrown in here and there. Lo siento de eso. I'm heavily influenced by video games, the Internet, literature (more so by trashy novels), clever things said by cleverer friends, and sappy music. I believe in trying anything once, attempting to be Enlightened, not forgeting anything Machiavelli said, and eating whatever the heck you want.
